Godfrey Johnson: A Morning of Cabaret

Multi-award-winning performer Godfrey Johnson will give an intimate talk on the history of cabaret and its relevance today. Johnson will also perform items by some of the worlds greatest satirists and songwriters such as Noel Coward, Jacques Brel and Cole Porter. Come and enjoy a relaxed morning of chat and song.

Johnson is currently featured in David Moore’s film, ‘Once Upon a Roadtrip’ and he recently performed with Pieter-Dirk Uys in ‘Bambi Sings The FAK Songs’.

In 2015 Johnson was nominated for three Fleur du Cap Theatre Awards for his work in the one-person show, ‘Vaslav’. (Best performance in a cabaret, best composer and best performance in a musical). He shared the Fleur du Cap Award with Claire Watling for his performance in ‘Kissed by Brel’ which was directed by Geoffrey Hyland.
