Fourie 50th Birthday celebration - 13 May 2017
A group of friends hired the Casa Labia as the venue for a 50th birthday party for approximately 50 people. The theme of our evening was A Royal Jubilee Celebration for Her Majesty’s Birthday. We thought that the Casa Labia, with its elegant ambience and exquisite furnishings, would be just the place for a special evening, and we were not disappointed.
Our initial discussions with Tania covered what was possible at the Casa and how she and her team could assist us. They were professional and helpful throughout the process, from our first meeting, through the planning stages to the set-up of the event on the day. Communications were clear and timeous.
On the big day, the dining room looked gorgeous, and we appreciated the team’s attention to detail, for example, they re-laid an entire table because the table cloth was not hanging correctly at one end. When you have put a lot of effort into planning an event, that kind of back-up is most welcome.
Wait staff on the evening were professional, courteous and helped the evening to flow smoothly.
If you are intending to use the Casa Labia for an evening function, make sure you are there to see the sunset over False Bay. With a glass of champagne in hand, it’s hard to think of a better way of spending an evening.

You were under so much pressure as well as being in Hospital, but even on your sick bed you were determined to make our special day an amazing day. We are still in awe and deeply touched by your special kindness and love. You were supposed to rest and recover but you came to work under so much pressure, from the deepest parts of hearts we thank you. Hosting our wedding at Casa Labia was a world class experience from beginning to end. Tania, the event manager, was highly efficient, knowledgeable and a real pleasure to deal with – leaving no doubt in our minds throughout the entire process that the evening would run smoothly. The food catered by Cucina Labia was beyond superb, and the skilled chef went above and beyond to accommodate our every request. This professional service, combined with a venue that is truly magical, one of a kind and beautifully maintained, made for an evening that will never be forgotten. I cannot recommend Casa Labia enough to anyone who is considering holding an event or special occasion here – this is no doubt one of the top venues in the country.

Tania and all the staff at Casa Labia were a delight to work with. They all went out of their way to ensure our day was a memorable one. The day itself was magical, we felt very looked after and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Tania is an excellent manager, nothing is too much trouble. She put our minds at rest at the beginning, and looked after hiring of outside equipment and vendors.

Casa Labia has been a favourite spot for many years and was an automatic choice for our wedding. We both love the old world splendour of a house that has many stories to tell, the history that is in every glorious detail and the spectacular views of the beach and mountains. Our wedding was at sunset and the whole garden was bathed in pink. Truly a magical experience.
The team at Casa Labia was fantastic – there was not a single glitch on the day and from start to finish it was smooth sailing. Tania and her team were capable and more than willing to help with any request. A special thank-you goes to Chef Monché. Not only was her food and canapes outstanding, her bubbly personality and attention to the bridal party added much joy to the day. It is not often that the chef gets quoted in a wedding speech!
We could not have picked a more perfect place to celebrate our wedding. The entire experience was 100% wonderful. Thank you very much.

We really wanted to say thank you so so much for our amazing wedding celebrations on New Year Eve 2016. We feel tremendously lucky to have found Casa Labia; I cannot tell you how much our guests complimented the venue, food and atmosphere. The Casa Labia setting certainly made for awesome pictures we will treasure forever.
We also feel lucky to have met with Tania who organised the event so beautifully. Her organisation was detailed and faultless; Tania acted upon our many requests, most of them so specific. Tania was always there for us no matter the time difference between London and Muizenberg. And most importantly she was there on the day until the very end. For those who were present during Candice and Michael’s wedding, I am sure you will understand why there were so few ‘dry eyes’ during the ceremony and during the speeches. The day was simply magical and the guests cannot stop talking about the whole event and how perfect it was. This was only possible because of your hard work and tolerating my many OCD to do lists J
Andrea lived up to her promise of great food…. THANK YOU. The presentation of the canapés was stunning and certainly filled a few empty tummies. The rest of the food was also so mouth-watering and well presented. Every kilojoule was worth it!
Brenda, Margie and her helpers certainly created the magic…. I am sure you can all agree that the décor was out of this world and together with the venue it will give us something to talk about for a long time to come.
Tania, Roz and Casa Labia staff, the service was really top class. My favourite waitress and her name eludes me now, made sure I had ice for my wine at all times.. which probably wasn’t a good thing….they were all very attentive so please pass on our thanks and give them all a Noddy Badge from us.
The day was such a blur hence, please thank EVERYONE from both Andre and myself, as well as Candice and Michael for such a memorable day which really was 100% perfect in every way. Once again a GREAT BIG thank you to a most successful and memorable day!

What a venue and what a team! We, and then our guests, were blown away not only by the grandeur that Casa Labia embodies as a wedding venue, but also by the welcome and helpfulness of the staff. We could not have asked for more for our wedding. Tania went out of her way to make sure that it was possible for us to have all of the personal touches we imagined, but kept within our budget. Everything was worked out tirelessly over email for us from across the continent.
“La dolce vita”, in its translation to ‘the sweet life’, was exactly what Casa Labia as a venue creates: grand art in an historic setting; luxurious food; Champaign and games in the sea breeze on the lawn; quiet photos from the balcony with the sunset over the ocean and the backdrop of pink evening mountains; intimate catch-ups in the quaint court-yard, topped with gregarious laughter and dancing… Casa Labia had it all!
We really couldn’t have asked for anything else, and we are incredibly grateful to Tania, Lydia and their phenomenal team. THANK YOU!

As soon as we walked into Casa Labia with our newly engaged eyes, we knew,it was everything we wanted and more. The gardens, the décor, the grandeur, it was perfect. From the day we signed, the brilliant staff helped with every request. After the food tasting, we left smiling and knew that our big day was going to be a big success. And it was!
Words cannot describe how wonderful everything turned out and the Casa Labia team who cooked, served and ran the evening were incredible. We can never thank them enough. It was our dream come true and a day that we shall be talking about for years to come. And if words fail us, we always have our exquisite photographs to remind us.

Planning a Wedding is no small task. The most stressful and critical item is of course the venue and its availability. Casa Labia popped onto our potential venue list via a friend’s recommendation. The venue is beautiful inside and out. We were completely captivated by the opulence of the Venetian décor. Each room reminiscent of the beautiful era. It was picture perfect.
Our initial meeting with Tania (Casa Labia Events Manager) was a breath of fresh air compared to other venue visits we’d done. She was polite, accommodating and proactive. Utilising her experience, we worked collectively to arrive at a few potential wedding day options. After that initial meeting we felt completely at ease for the first time since the start of the planning process. We left that day having booked the venue for our big day.
The standard set menu options were emailed through to us the next day. We reworked them into a custom menu which was welcomed by the Casa Labia team. Once confirmed the menu tasting was arranged and final tweaks were made. Each amendment was received with ease and actioned promptly. Throughout the process I often thought that Tania had become my wedding planning assistant.
The most notable point about the Casa Labia venue is that it doesn’t require hundreds of props and decorations to make it magical. The only items ordered in were the tables and chairs. A process handled by the Casa Labia team that required only our selection and number confirmation. We utilised a contact Tania had given us for the wedding flowers, a florist who knew the venue well. She was a dream. We arranged our preferred outside suppliers for music, wedding cake and photography which were all easily accommodated. The team even liaised with the outside suppliers directly to confirm final arrangements. Not once were we forced to compromise on our wedding vision.
I must note that we had decided to get married on the 08th of March, the day of the Cape Argus, which meant all deliveries for the day had to arrive early that morning. To ensure everything went to plan, a staff member stayed over at the venue to make sure she was there for the early deliveries. Nothing was left to chance. We even received a final check list from the team to make sure nothing had been over looked.
The big day finally arrived and with it a multitude of small tasks. I was safely upstairs in the bridal room getting my makeup done and calmly enjoying the view from the window whilst the Casa Labia team addressed all the last minute changes and set-up instructions. By the time I walk down the aisle and joined my now husband, everything was exactly where it needed to be from flower arrangements, confetti cones and table placements. Everything was executed perfectly.
The entire Casa Labia team’s dedication to detail and their eagerness to assist with all requests and dilemmas constantly amazed. They really cared. Not once did we feel as though we were just another wedding event for the season. A truly customized and personal experience from start to finish!

Casa Labia became our choice of venue completely by accident. We had planned to have our wedding in Cape Town at a restaurant much closer to our home in fact. Then friends of ours had a small reception, lunch only, during the week at Casa Labia. We drove through and the meal was superb, which Neil (now my spouse) noticed. This in and of itself is notable as Neil has been in the Food and Wine industry as critic, judge and writer for nearly twenty years. I am in Fine Arts, I am a painter but also curate and am art critic for Die Burger and other publications on a freelance basis. The thing from my friends' wedding that appealed to me the most were the 'happy snaps' of their reception. Every single one of them looked like they belonged in a glossy magazine. It dawned on me that this must be the case because we were always photographed in a perfectly curated space. Everything from the lighting to the décor had been pre-arranged and set. It can't help but make for picture perfect functions not to mention possible publication on Facebook. This venue is made for Facebook in my opinion.
With regards our own wedding which was much larger and longer we can only sing Casa Labia's praises. The staff were courteous the planning went smoothly and even the weather played along. We can wholeheartedly recommend it for anybody needing an unusually beautiful and camera friendly venue for their special day.

We had the most amazing wedding day at the Casa Labia - it was much more than we could have ever wished for. Everything was planned to the finest detail with the help of the exceptional staff. The event planner, Tania Mill, was extremely committed - nothing ever appeared to be too much trouble; every request was met with a 'if we can do it we will' approach, which was complimented by great big smiles. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved - wish we could do it all over again!
